SJQ Processor

From a stack of handwritten questionnaires to strike-ready analysis in minutes.

The first product that treats the Supplemental Juror Questionnaire as a data pipeline instead of a paper problem — built inside an active trial practice, for the crunch before voir dire.

The Problem

The most consequential half-day of trial runs on sticky notes.

The juror who says nothing cannot be challenged for cause and isn't worth a peremptory — so the venire's most consequential members are the ones counsel knows least about. Supplemental Juror Questionnaires solve this by putting every juror's answers on the record.

Then the workflow breaks: hundreds of pages of handwriting, arriving with voir dire already on the clock. The state of the art for organizing an 80-person venire is a stack of sticky notes, re-read and re-shuffled at strike time. It doesn't have to be — the analysis should be ready as fast as the team can scan.

How It Works

One pipeline, four steps.

01

Generate

Court-ready questionnaires from a case-specific template — machine-scannable by design, built to survive the copy room. Built from your existing Word or PDF at no charge.

02

Extract

Handwritten responses captured from ordinary scans. AI-assisted recovery re-reads what OCR misses — only with your explicit, field-by-field consent; off by default.

03

Validate

Missing answers, inconsistent responses, and skipped branches flagged automatically. Every extraction traceable to its source page.

04

Report

Attorney-ready analysis with case-specific content flags, organized for strike decisions — delivered while the coffee is still hot.

Pricing, Plainly

Building your questionnaire costs nothing.

Already have an SJQ — or a draft of one — in Word or PDF? Send it to us and we'll convert it into a court-ready, machine-scannable questionnaire at no charge. Starting from scratch? We'll build it with you, also free.

You pay only for processing — when the completed questionnaires come back and the clock is running. Formatting is cheap; the value is turning a box of handwriting into strike-ready analysis, and that's the only thing we bill for.

Trust, By Architecture

Built for the way courts actually work.

Strictly side-neutral

A written questionnaire compels a record from every seat in the venire — no hiding in silence, for either side. Plaintiff, defense, criminal, and family-law practices get the same rigorous analysis, tailored to their role. When both sides of a case use the platform, each receives its own independent analysis of the same panel.

Destroyed on a court calendar

Courts mandate questionnaire confidentiality and destruction — some under penalty of perjury. Juror data is processed and destroyed on the court's clock, destruction certified to NIST SP 800-88 standards, with a Certificate of Destruction counsel can file. There is no juror-data warehouse, because there is deliberately nothing to warehouse.

A Batson wall, in the code

Protected-class information is recorded where courts require it, but it is never used in any analysis, flag, or recommendation. That rule is enforced in the software itself — not in a policy document.
