SJQ Processor
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 1, 2026
This policy covers the sjq.legal website and the SJQ Processor service operated by Timbre Solutions ("we," "us"). It is written to be read, not skimmed — because how we handle juror data is the product.
This website
- This is a static informational site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and loads no third-party scripts.
- If you email us, we receive what you send and use it only to respond and to provide the service you asked about.
Juror data in the SJQ Processor service
Completed juror questionnaires contain personal information about citizens who did not choose to be our customers. We treat that data accordingly:
- Processed for one purpose. Juror responses are processed solely to produce analysis for counsel of record in the matter for which the court issued the questionnaire. They are never used for marketing, model training, profiling across cases, or any other secondary purpose.
- No juror-data warehouse. We do not build or retain any database of juror information across cases. Case data exists only for the life of the engagement.
- Destruction on a court-calendar clock. At the conclusion of an engagement — or earlier where a court order requires — all case materials (scanned images, extracted text, analysis output) are destroyed in accordance with NIST SP 800-88 media-sanitization guidelines, and a Certificate of Destruction is available to counsel for filing where required.
- Protected-class wall. Where a court-approved questionnaire collects protected-class information (such as race, religion, or national origin), that information is recorded for the court record only. It is never used in any analysis, flag, score, or recommendation. This restriction is enforced in the software itself.
- AI-assisted extraction happens only with your affirmative consent. The default is off. Where optical character recognition cannot read a handwritten response, counsel may enable AI-assisted recovery — explicitly, field by field. No juror response is ever sent to an AI service unless counsel has agreed in advance; without that agreement, it does not happen at all.
- Third-party processors. Extraction uses established cloud document-analysis and AI services under agreements that prohibit those providers from retaining or training on the data. A current list of processors is available on request.
What we never do
- Sell or share juror or client data with anyone other than the counsel who engaged us for that matter.
- Collect diagnostics that contain personally identifying information.
- Retain juror data beyond the engagement and any period required by court order.
